Behind the Scenes, About the Photographer; Sejin Moon

Sejin Moon has been a passionate and dedicated photographer since her early teens, when she was first inspired by her Fathers photography. Her passion to master the fine art led her after high school to undertake formal studies in photography first in South Korea and later in Scotland, after she moved to Edinburgh in 2003. She graduated in 2010 with a Master of Fine Art Photography from the Edinburgh College of Art.

Sejin’s passion is to capture lifes events not only in staged artistic studio poses, but also in the hustle and bustle of events as they unfold, unscripted and “real.” It is this focus on capturing the essence of the moment that sets her wedding photography apart from the work of others.

In her fine art career, Sejin has a keen interest in using photography to capture and display the sociological, cultural, and gender differences among people living in South Korea and in the UK.

Sejin will be applying for a PhD in Fine Art  next year, to pursue her love with photography to greater depths.
